Myrtleford Better Places
Myrtleford Better Places including the Roundabout construction at Standish Street
NECC have completed stages 1 and 2 of the Myrtleford Better Places project. With stage one being the roundabout at Standish Street where we demolished the existing kerb and traffic islands to create a roundabout which makes for a safer intersection and slows traffic through town.
Stage two comprised of 2 separate portions Portion A Myrtle St and Portion B Jubilee Park.
Portion A Myrtle St comprised of:
- Pedestrian and vehicle traffic management
- Locating existing services
- Environmental management including dust control and protection of existing trees
- Demolition of existing surfaces, including landscaping, kerb & channel, road and footpath pavements
- Set out of works
- Earth works stormwater drainage
- Construction of new kerb and channel
- New road and footpath pavements, including granular, bitumen seal, plain concrete and exposed aggregate concrete.
- Line marking
- Concrete and timber seating podiums
- Installation of site furniture and traffic signs
- Landscape edging, grassing and mulching
- Garden beds and planting
- Irrigation
- Low voltage feature lights
Portion B Jubilee Park comprised of:
- Pedestrian and vehicle traffic management
- Locating existing services
- Environmental management including dust control and protection of existing trees
- Demolition of existing surfaces, including landscaping, and footpath pavements
- Set out of works
- Earth works stormwater drainage
- New road and footpath pavements, including granular, plain concrete and ex-posed aggregate concrete.
- Construction of new BBQ shelter, Viewing Deck, Bus shelters and township signs
- Refurbishment of existing male and female toilet blocks, internally and externally, including new timber entrance screening
- Stone and concrete seating walls
- Installation of site furniture
- Landscape edging, grassing and mulching
- Garden beds and planting
- Irrigation
- Low voltage feature lighting
These works were completed and managed by our highly skilled and knowledgeable staff with the assistance of our selected sub-contractors for specific tasks.
