NECC were lucky enough to construct the new lagoons at the Bright waste water treatment plant as a subcontractor to Aeramix as well as other associated civil works for the project.

One of the requirements of the lagoons was that they had to meet permeability requirements to achieve this a geosynthetic clay liner or GCL was installed which gets a layer of ballast or clay placed on top of the GCL as its being installed.

The lagoons also required beaching around the batters and access tracks on the embankments.

We also constructed the sludge management area which is a lagoon with subsurface drainage to filter out the water.
